Charges – Aggravated Assault – Docker River

Northern Territory Police have charged a 41-year-old male in relation to an alleged incident which occurred on 29 December 2018.

Around 10:00am the male was driving a vehicle erratically outside a residence. He sped into the driveway of the residence before exiting and continuing to drive dangerously.

He re-entered the property and attempted to run down two people. Fortunately he missed the pedestrians however the vehicle collided with the house.

The male then got out of the vehicle and assaulted a female. He got back into the vehicle and collided with the residence again before fleeing the scene.

He was arrested by police late on Thursday, 10 January.

He has been charged with:

• Recklessly Endangering Life

• Aggravated Assault x 2

• Criminal Damage x 2

• Drive in a Manner Dangerous

• Unlicensed Driver

• Unregistered Vehicle

• Uninsured Motor Vehicle

He was remanded in custody and will appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.
