Charges - Aggravated assault - Katherine

Northern Territory Police have charged a 44-year-old female with the aggravated assault of two females in Katherine.

It is alleged that on the evening of Tuesday 15 January 2019, a 39-year-old female allegedly received stab wounds to her breast, head and leg.

A 47-year-old female also allegedly received stab wounds to her breast, head and back.

Police arrested the 44-year-old two hours later. She has been charged with two counts of recklessly endangering serious harm (aggravated) and two counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators have not ruled out changes to these charges pending the welfare of the alleged victims.

The alleged offender is scheduled to appear in Katherine Local Court today.
