Charges - Drug Offences - Maningrida

Northern Territory Police have arrested two males for drug offences in Maningrida.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Maningrida around 5:30pm on 17 November, Northern Territory Police say

During the search police located approximately 180 grams of cannabis, over $17,000 cash, digital scales, and approximately 200 empty clip seal bags.

A 47-year-old male was arrested at the scene. He appeared in Darwin Local Court for drug offences on 19 November.

Around 12:00pm on 21 November police located a 37-year-old male at another residence in Maningrida.

He was charged with:

  • Supply less than a commercial quantity of Sched 2 drug within an Indigenous community
  • Possess property commission of an offence
  • Possess trafficable quantity of a schedule 2 drug

He is due to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Police are still seeking to locate a third alleged offender. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers.
