Charges - Drug Offences - Rosebery

Drug and Organised Crime Division members have charged a 24-year-old male with drug related offences following a warrant execution in Rosebery.

On Wednesday 29 August police attended a post office and seized a package containing 28 grams of MDMA. Another package containing 28 grams of MDMA was also seized in early July. Both packages were addressed to the male. He was arrested by police upon collection of the package yesterday afternoon, Northern Territory Police say.

A search warrant was later executed at Rosebery address where police located:

  • Less than traffickable schedule 1 dangerous drug - methamphetamine
  • 1 x taser and three cartridges
  • 1 x torch taser
  • 1 x eagle pepper spray
  • 1 x ice pipe
  • 1 x safe containing two large clip seal bags of unused gelatine capsules, cannabis seeds, 1 x vial of steroids
  • 1 x Capsule filler machine
  • Quantity of cash

The male was charged with:

  • Possess commercial schedule 1 dangerous drug x 2 (MDMA)
  • Supply commercial schedule 1 dangerous drug x 2 (MDMA)
  • Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug less than traffickable (Methamphetamine)
  • Possess, carry, use prohibited weapon x 4
  • Possess schedule 2 dangerous drug less than traffickable (cannabis seeds)
  • Possess schedule 2 dangerous drug less than traffickable (steroids)
  • Possess thing to administer dangerous drug

He is due to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
