Charges for school threats – Upper Coomera

Detectives have charged a woman in relation to alleged threats made towards a school at Upper Coomera yesterday, Queensland Police say.

While there was no credible information to indicate any direct threat to any individual or school, the Queensland Police Service takes all threats seriously with public safety paramount.

A 36-year-old woman from Upper Coomera has been charged with use of a carriage service to menace or harass, wilful disturbance at an educational facility and fraud.

Queensland Police would like to remind the community that making threats, regardless of the forum, are treated seriously and offenders face serious criminal charges with significant penalties.

Investigations are ongoing.
