Charges Laid - Assault - Jingili

Northern Territory Police would like to thank members of the public for their assistance following an appeal for information about an alleged assault that occurred in Jingili last week.

Detective Acting Sergeant Daniel Ralph said police were called at approximately 1am on Thursday, 1 November to a report of an assault, Northern Territory Police say

The victim died in hospital the next evening as a result of a pre-existing health condition.

Three people are due to face court next month over the incident.

Two Ludmilla men, aged 24 and 27, were arrested on Saturday and charged with Recklessly Endanger Serious Harm and Engage in Violent Conduct. They have been granted bail to appear in the Darwin Local Court on 5 December.

A 29-year-old Katherine man is facing the same charges after he handed himself in to Darwin police yesterday. He has been bailed to appear in the Katherine Local Court on 3 December.

"We’d like to thank the community for their help in identifying all the men in the images," Detective Acting Sergeant Ralph said.

"Police would urge anyone with information about this incident who might not have spoken to investigators already to ring 131 444."
