Charges laid over fatal crash in Rossmore

Police have charged a man over a fatal crash in Sydney’s south-west, NSW Police say.

About 10.30pm on Saturday 7 October 2017, emergency services were called to Bringelly Road, Rossmore, following reports a silver Nissan Silvia sedan had crashed into a tree.

A 37-year-old male passenger died at the scene.

The driver, a 36-year-old man, was taken to Liverpool Hospital.

Following inquiries, officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit issued a court attendance notice to the 36-year-old man yesterday (Saturday 13 January 2018).

He was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning death – manner, negligent driving occasioning death, and drive mid-range PCA.

The man is due to appear before Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 28 February 2018.

His licence was also suspended.
