Charges laid over sexual assault on a minor, NSW

A man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a minor in the state’s Far South Coast, NSW Police say.

Police will allege a six-year-old girl was sexually assaulted at a property near Jindabyne in November 2012.

Officers attached to Child Abuse Squad Far South Coast commenced an investigation.

Just before 11am today (Friday 3 November 2017), police arrested a 79-year-old Bombala man.

He was taken to Cooma Police Station where he was charged with aggravated sexual assault, victim under the age of 16 years; indecent assault person under 16 years of age; and three counts of incite victim under 10 years to commit indecent act.

The man was refused bail to appear before Cooma Local Court today.
