Charges over break and enters, firearm offences, NSW

A man has been charged in relation to aggravated break and enter and firearms offences in the Riverina.

Strike Force Chausson was established by Riverina detectives in response to multiple armed robbery offences, aggravated break and enter offences, and other violent offences.

At 1.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 22 January 2019), investigators arrested an 18-year-old man at an address on Phillip Avenue, Mount Austin.

A search warrant was executed at his home, during which police seized proceeds of break and enters.

He was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station and charged in relation to an aggravated break and enter at a home on Northcott Parade, Wagga Wagga, on Sunday 20 January 2019, as well as firearm offences and breach of bail.

A 22-year-old man was also charged with similar offences.

They were both refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Wednesday 23 January 2019).
