The Cheltenham Recreation Reserve playground has reopened, following its transformation into a larger, more inclusive and nature‑inspired play space shaped by community feedback.
The new design includes a custom treehouse, misted water play, climbing tower and slide, swings, spinners and nature‑play elements. We've restored the historic steamroller, repurposed the Cheltenham Station down building for shaded seating, refreshed the public toilets and improved landscaping for enhanced comfort and enjoyment.
This upgrade is part of Council's Playground Improvement Plan, delivering high-quality, accessible public spaces across Bayside.
