Chester Hill Shooting: Police Launch Investigation

An investigation is underway after two people were shot in Sydney's west overnight.

Just after 10.30pm yesterday (Thursday 12 March 2026), emergency services were called to Boundary Road, Chester Hill, following reports of a brawl.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told approximately 15 people were fighting before two people were shot and they all left the scene before police arrived.

A short time later, police were on Ferndell Street, Guildford, when they located a black sedan being driven in a dangerous manner.

When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated before it came to stop nearby.

Police approached to the vehicle to speak to the occupants and located two men – aged 27 and 24 – suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

They were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to a hospital in a stable condition.

A third man – the driver of sedan – was spoken to police and left the scene pending further inquiries.

A crime scene has been established, and police commenced an investigation into the incident.
