Hi everyone,
I'm coming to you this month from Murray Bridge, where we have just wrapped up our 2025 River Reflections conference .
What an incredible 2 days it has been! We've had many valuable conversations, especially on the Basin Plan Evaluation and Sustainable Rivers Audit - both of which are important milestones as we prepare to review the Basin Plan in 2026 .
If you're keen to find out what else we've been working on to get us closer to the all-important Review, we've just finalised our latest progress update .
This month we've also shared some more research from our Murray-Darling Water and Environment Research Program , and introduced Kosha, the REO for the Lower Murray and Sunraysia regions. You can read those updates in our newsroom .
And on personal note, I'm deeply saddened to share the passing of Leith Boully - a fearless leader in water policy, who we were lucky to have as a Chair of the former Community Advisory Committee to the Murray-Darling Basin Ministerial Council in the late 90s. Leith's contribution to the Basin spans across decades, and I'd like to take this opportunity to recognise the significant impact she has had on Australia's water sector.
Thanks again and see you next month!
