Chief Lawmakers Meet

A range of issues affecting the Territory have been discussed at today's Council of Attorneys-General Meeting in Adelaide.

Territory Attorney-General Natasha Fyles attended the bi-annual meeting, which provided an opportunity to put forward the views of the Territory Labor Government as well as Territorians on important legal policy matters.

Some of the key discussions included:

· Options to improve consistency between jurisdictions on surrogacy regulation

· Elder abuse and enduring power of attorney law reform

· Legal assistance funding

· Draft amendments to model defamation law.
