Child abuse material seized; man charged at Wagga Wagga

A man will re-appear in court today charged with allegedly possessing child abuse material in Wagga Wagga.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended a home in Lake Albert about 11am on Friday 12 June 2020, and allegedly located child exploitation material on the man's device, which was seized for forensic examination.

The 74-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with possess child abuse material.

He was refused bail to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on Friday 12 June 2020, where he was formally refused bail to appear in the same court today (Monday 15 June 2020).
