Save the date! Wyndham City's free Children's Week Picnic is set to return Sunday 26 October and will be hosted in Wyndham Park in Werribee this year.
This much-loved family event will move from its traditional location in Werribee Park this spring to Wyndham Park in the heart of Werribee City Centre while major roadworks on K Road are taking place.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw said that the move would help ensure attendees can get to the event as easily as possible and reduce traffic on K Road during this vital road upgrade.
"While last year's event was a success, we know that access challenges can impact the experience - even with the best planning."
"Wyndham Park will provide a fantastic new site this year with a central location that offers easy access to public transport and a beautiful setting for this much-loved family day."
"We expect the event to return to Werribee Park once the road infrastructure works are complete."
"This year's event will feature another wonderful program of performances, music and hands-on activities and I can't wait to see families across Wyndham come together again to celebrate this special day" Cr Shaw said.
Entry to the Children's Week Picnic is free, with ticketing in place again this year, to manage crowd numbers and ensure everyone can enjoy the day comfortably.
Full program details will be released closer to the date, with tickets available in mid-October.
