Two additional buildings have been completed at the new Baringa State Primary School in Caloundra South, ready for the start of the 2019 school year.
Minister for Education Grace Grace said the construction of a special education unit and senior student block formed part of the Stage Two works.
"The Palaszczuk Government invested $35 million into providing a world-class primary school for the emerging Caloundra South community, with these new facilities part of that commitment," Ms Grace said.
"Both buildings have been delivered on schedule and are fully accessible, ensuring that all students are able to learn in an inclusive school environment.
"The special education unit includes two general learning areas, a staff room, office and amenities, along with dedicated life skills, therapy and interview rooms.
"The two-storey senior student block provides a further 12 classrooms, six teacher preparation areas, three outdoor learning areas and under-croft, amenities and a lift."
The Palaszczuk Government invested over $170 million to deliver four new schools in 2018, including Baringa State Primary School.
Ms Grace said it was pleasing to see more infrastructure being delivered at the school, which is a STEM School of Excellence.
"It’s wonderful to see how far Baringa has come since the Premier and I officially opened the school in June, where the talented students coded Pepper the robot to welcome us," Ms Grace said.
"These new buildings will open up ample space for students to learn and grow in all subjects, including in the field of STEM.
"Not only has this project benefited the school community, but it’s also had an impact on the local economy.
"Both stages One and Two generated up to 101 fulltime jobs which is a fantastic result."
Foundation Principal of Baringa State Primary School Mr Noel Baggs said the school is proud to be providing students with a world-class education, supported by modern infrastructure.
"We want all students to learn the skills they need to be citizens of the 21st century, with classes delivered in a digitally-rich learning environment," Mr Baggs said.
"These new facilities will ensure we are able to meet the needs of our diverse and growing community for many years to come."
