Christmas Day Paddleboard Rescue

Police rescued a woman and a boy who drifted from Portarlington to Wyndham on their paddleboards yesterday afternoon.
The pair set off from a Portarlington caravan park jetty on the paddleboards about 3pm on Thursday, 25 December.
A family member raised the alarm and contacted Triple Zero (000) about two hours later when the 17-year-old and 51-year-old had not returned.
Local police units, Air Wing, Life Saving Victoria and Queenscliff Coast Guards assisted with the search for the missing paddleboarders.
Air Wing officers spotted the duo floating and waving near Wyndham Harbour about 6.20pm before water police rescued them.
They were assessed by Ambulance Victoria at the scene and were not physically injured.
