City of Darwin is the naming rights sponsor of the 2026 NAIDOC Week March, supporting one of the week's signature events celebrating the history, cultures and achievements of First Nation people.

Delivered by Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation, the march will begin at 9.00 am on Friday 10 July from the Smith Street end of Civic Park, before proceeding through Darwin city. The march forms part of a full day of NAIDOC Week celebrations, with breakfast from 7.00 am and live entertainment following the official proceedings.

Lord Mayor Peter Styles said NAIDOC Week was an important opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate First Nations cultures while reflecting on the shared journey towards reconciliation.

"City of Darwin is honoured to support the NAIDOC Week March and encourages the community to take part in this important celebration," Mr Styles said.

"Through meaningful partnerships like that with Larrakia Nation Aboriginal Corporation and through commitment to Reconciliation, we strive to strengthen relationships with First Nations communities and recognise the enduring contribution of First Nation people, particularly the Larrakia, to this city," he said.

City of Darwin also sponsors the annual NAIDOC Week calendar, supports staff and Elected Members to participate in NAIDOC Week events and delivers initiatives that strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities for First Nations peoples.
