City West Water seeking volunteers for community group

City West Water will soon start work on an essential water renewal project which will ensure that there is a safe and secure water supply to Carlton, Carlton North and the inner city for years to come.

They are calling for members of the local community to submit expressions of interest to be a part of a community reference group in Carlton. This reference group will be an important part of keeping community members and stakeholders in the loop during the project.

It will be made up of key stakeholders, local residents, community groups and traders from the area.

The group will be an information sharing forum that will ensure regular and consistent two-way communication about the project.

Meetings will be held every two months until the project is completed.

The year-long project includes installing 2.3km of new pipe along Canning Street, between Faraday Street and Park Street.

If you would like to make an expression of interest to join the community reference group, or would like to know more about the project visit the City West Water website.

Expressions of interest close Friday 31 May.
