Thursday 5 March, 6pm – 8pm

Civic Gallery, Monash Civic Centre, 293 Springvale Road. Glen Waverley

Free ticketed event.

Join us for the opening of Sophie Zelder's solo exhibition, Mokolito to Woodcut: From Lithographic Line to the Clarity of the Cut.

Sophie is a Monash-based, emerging artist and winner of our 2025 FAS Awards.

The exhibition presents a series of botanical prints inspired by the Japanese philosophy of finding the universe in a blade of grass, drawn from close observation of her own garden during recent quiet years.

The event will be officially opened by Anne Virgo OAM, Director of the Australian Print Workshop.

Anne's significant contribution to visual arts (notably in the field of printmaking) was recognised with the award of The Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in the 2015 Australia Day Honours. Anne has held the position of CEO and Artistic Director of Australian Print Workshop, located in Melbourne for the past 25 years.

We look forward to welcoming Anne to officially open this exciting exhibition which will run until April 10.
