Clarence Valley Hit-and-Run Leaves Woman Critical

A woman is critical condition following a hit and run in the state's north.

About 11.40pm yesterday (Saturday 21 March 2026), emergency services were called to James Street, Glenreagh, about 30km from Coffs Harbour.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and found a 21-year-old pedestrian had been struck by a car, before it left the scene.

The woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries, before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene was established and investigations commenced into the circumstances of the crash.

As investigations continue, police would like to speak with anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam and/or mobile phone footage in relation to this incident.
