Chambers Flat Rd shared pathway

A new shared pathway has improved access for cyclists and pedestrians along Chambers Flat Road in Marsden.

The concrete footpath, which is 2.5 metres wide, runs between Kingston Road and Waratah Drive.

The shared pathway project footpath works included stormwater, kerb and channel replacement along the roadway.

Associated works including line marking and signage were also undertaken.

Logan City Council Acting Roads and Water Director Daryl Ross said the $1.2 million project was a win for the area.

"Council maintains a vast road network across our city and our footpaths are just as vital," Mr Ross said.

"Council continues to build infrastructure that supports ratepayers whether they drive, walk or ride.

"This footpath is an important new link between homes, schools and shops on Chambers Flat Road."

The shared pathway is in three sections and includes road crossings at Bourke and Hickory streets.

A new bus stop was also installed near Hickory Street.
