Better water, better health and greater certainty for Batchelor - the Finocchiaro CLP Government has completed a significant upgrade to the town's drinking water chlorination infrastructure.
Minister for Essential Services, Steve Edgington, said that the new $3.9 million Batchelor Chlorination Plant replaces ageing infrastructure that no longer met modern standards.

The purpose-built facility features dual sodium hypochlorite dosing systems with bunded storage and secondary containment, along with upgraded electrical infrastructure that includes modern safety systems, automation and remote monitoring capabilities to support long-term reliability.
Member for Blain, Matthew Kerle, who grew up in Batchelor, said the upgrade strengthens water quality for the community and delivers safer, more efficient infrastructure.
"Improving the drinking water in my hometown of Batchelor shows the CLP Government is delivering right across the Territory and helping create a secure and better life for now and for our kids in the future.
"I am pleased that the CLP Government is showing how committed we are to helping Territorians be happier and healthier," Mr Kerle said.
