CMA Reacts to Cabinet Office Procurement Consultation

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has published its response to the Cabinet Office's public procurement consultation.

The CMA's response to the Public Procurement: Growing British industry, jobs and skills - consultation on further reforms to public procurement sets out the relevance of market shaping in public procurement and, how government can use proactive market shaping to ensure public procurement delivers wider economic objectives. It also provides views on the practical approaches to do this, informed by CMA experience and casework.

Additionally, it provides specific responses to questions on a proposed public interest test for sourcing decisions and the application of social value criteria in tenders.
