Coburg Aggravated Burglary

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are seeking public assistance following an aggravated burglary in Coburg last week.

Investigators have been told the victim was woken by the sound of an unknown male climbing out a window of his Linsey Street home about 3am on 21 November.

The male victim confronted the offender in the backyard who said he was homeless and looking for a place to stay.

The victim noticed the offender was carrying his laptop and a sports bag which contained his wallet and car keys.

The next day at about 9pm, the offender and another person arrived at the victim's home in a small hatchback and attempted but failed to steal his vehicle from the driveway.

Detectives have released an image of the offender, perceived to be of Caucasian appearance, aged between 18yo and 25yo, thin build with blonde hair.
