Collaborative mural project revealed

Stratton has a bright new mural thanks to a great response from the local community who brought this project to life.

The City of Swan engaged Artist Mel McVee, known as Melski, to work with the community to create a mural for the Stratton Youth Centre and the boundary wall of the shopping Centre.

Open painting days were held in June and July for everyone to get involved, which proved very popular!

Due to great community response and a request from the Stratton Community Association, the mural was extended to the front of the Community Centre and an additional paint day was organised.

There were so many participants that the extension of the mural was completed in a day. The artist Melski did this extension at no additional cost to the City.
