Collie Fatal Crash Charge, WA

Major Crash officers investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Collie just after midnight this morning, Friday 14 April 2017 have charged the 19 year old male driver.

Four men from Collie were travelling south along Mungalup Road in a grey coloured Holden Colorado utility. At the roundabout on Mungalup Road and Crampton Street it is alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with a tree, WA Police say.

An 18 year old male passenger died at the scene from injuries he received in the crash. A second passenger, a 19 year old man, received serious injuries and was airlifted to Bunbury Regional Hospital for treatment.

The 19 year old driver has been charged with Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death and Dangerous Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm.

He is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court on 26 April 2017.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the crash or the Holden Colorado prior to the crash. Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
