We are thrilled to announce that Collingwood Leisure Centre has been awarded the 2025 AUSactive Accredited Business of the Year at the AUSactive National Awards Gala, held on Friday 19 September.
What does this mean?
The AUSactive Business Accreditation program is Australia's first continuous quality improvement initiative specifically designed for fitness and health facilities. Achieving accreditation is a formal recognition that a business meets predefined criteria and quality standards, assessed by an independent accreditation body.
How did we do it?
Yarra Leisure has proudly been a part of the AUSactive program since its inception, with all three of our leisure centre locations receiving accreditation. This year, we achieved a significant milestone as Yarra Leisure became the first organisation in Australia to obtain this accreditation consistently since the program began. It is also the first organisation to have achieved the award as the highest scoring accredited business three times in a row.

This prestigious recognition confirms that Yarra Leisure operates at the highest possible standards in the Australian leisure and fitness industry. It highlights our dedication to providing exceptional service and ensuring the quality of experience for every visitor.
Why is Collingwood Leisure Centre specifically recognised?
As part of the accreditation process, a "lead site" is selected each time. In past years we have chosen Richmond Recreation Centre but this time we decided to highlight Collingwood Leisure Centre to spread the recognition across our community and celebrate the contribution of each of our centres.
