Older adults in the Shoalhaven are encouraged to live life in colour this Seniors Festival, with a rich mix of events on offer across the city in March.

The festival is held annually in NSW to celebrate the contributions of older adults, promote active and healthy ageing and foster social connection. It is an opportunity for residents over 55 to take part in events that improve wellbeing and offers the chance to meet others in our community with shared interests.

"Staying connected is essential for a happy and healthy life. Seniors Festival provides an important opportunity for older members of our community to share laughter, learn something new, and feel part of a community that truly values them," said Mayor Patricia White.

"I'm pleased to share with our community the wide variety of events we have on offer across the Shoalhaven this year, including the NSW Seniors Festival Comedy Show to be held at the Ulladulla Civic Centre," Cr White said.

"There's something for everyone and I encourage our older community members to join in," she said.

The festival will run from March 2-15, and this year's theme is 'live life in colour.'

There are a range of free or low-cost activities occurring across New South Wales from health and wellbeing workshops to fitness activities and live entertainment.
