Residents are encouraged to commemorate ANZAC Day with a number of events on offer both live and online this year.

ANZAC Day commemorations were altered last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic with Camden RSL Sub Branch this year conducting services to commemorate the 106th Anniversary of the Landing of Gallipoli with the following:

  • Dawn Service

Where: Camden RSL Club

When: Sunday 25 April, 5.30am sharp. This service is private and attendance is by invite only.

  • ANZAC Day March

Where: Starting at Onslow Oval, Camden

When: Sunday 25 April, 10.30am

Tickets: 4,600 tickets available in line with COVID-19 restrictions. Tickets available at bit.ly/camdenANZACdaymarch2021

  • Live Stream of Dawn Service and March

Where: Visit camden.nsw.gov.au or facebook.com/camdencouncil

When: 5.15am and 10.30am for both services

Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli said it was fantastic to have in-person ANZAC Day commemorations returning.

"ANZAC Day is very important to the entire nation, as well as all of our residents in the Camden area. This is our chance to commemorate in the safest and best way possible," Cr Fedeli said.

"Last year, I was very pleased to see so many images of people either placing an image of a poppy in their front windows at home using the hashtag #PoppiesforANZACDay or standing on the edge of their driveways at dawn to commemorate. I encourage the community to continue this and make it your annual commemoration to the ANZACs.

"It is still important to continue following social distancing guidelines and I am pleased we are able to provide the live streaming of these commemorations. This will ensure our community is able to commemorate in their own way while also ensuring the safety of our ex-servicemen and personnel."
