Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli said it was fantastic to have in-person ANZAC Day commemorations returning.

“ANZAC Day is very important to the entire nation, as well as all of our residents in the Camden area. This is our chance to commemorate in the safest and best way possible,” Cr Fedeli said.

“Last year, I was very pleased to see so many images of people either placing an image of a poppy in their front windows at home using the hashtag #PoppiesforANZACDay or standing on the edge of their driveways at dawn to commemorate. I encourage the community to continue this and make it your annual commemoration to the ANZACs.

“It is still important to continue following social distancing guidelines and I am pleased we are able to provide the live streaming of these commemorations. This will ensure our community is able to commemorate in their own way while also ensuring the safety of our ex-servicemen and personnel.”
