Community Bank volunteers hit road with Meals on Wheels deliveries

Drouin and District Community Bank is the latest organisation to lend a hand with Council's Meals on Wheels program.

Each fortnight staff members will volunteer their time to deliver meals to aged and vulnerable residents across Baw Baw Shire.

The Community Bank joins Commonwealth Bank Warragul, Harcourts Warragul and the Trafalgar and District Community Bank who already provide volunteer support to the program.

The Meals on Wheels program supports over 250 residents across the Shire, with over 23,000 meals delivered each year.

The program is one of five volunteer-supported services and programs delivered by Council, including:

  • Community Shopping Bus,
  • Friendly Visiting Program,
  • Community Transport, and
  • Social Support Group.
