Community Capital Works Grant Policy Review

Cardinia Shire Council is seeking feedback on the review of the Community Capital Works Grant (CCWG) policy.

The CCWG program has been a crucial resource for local community groups seeking funding to improve community facilities. Proposed changes to the CCWG policy include:

  • Reduction of Grant Categories: The current three grant categories will be streamlined into two, simplifying the funding structure.
  • New Funding Structure: The updated categories will support fully funded projects under $5,000 and projects requiring a 50% community contribution for funding requests up to $70,000.

These proposed changes aim to simplify the application process and enhance the customer experience when applying for a grant.

Council is seeking feedback to ensure the new policy guidelines meet the needs of our residents. Community members and previous grant applicants are encouraged to share their thoughts on the proposed CCWG policy changes. Community feedback is essential for making the CCWG program and its application process more user-friendly. We invite all community members to participate and share their ideas.

Community members can share their feedback on the Community Capital Works Grant Policy online or in person at a drop-in session. Join us at Hills Hub in Emerald on Wednesday, 4 June, from 1pm to 2:30pm, or visit the Lang Lang Community Centre on Thursday, 5 June, from 2pm to 3:30pm. A final drop-in session will be held at the Civic Centre Council Chambers on Thursday, 10 June, from 5pm to 6:30pm.
