Got a great idea for your community, or an event that could bring people together? Eurobodalla Council's 2027 Community Wellbeing Grants, Community Events Grants, Rates Assistance Donation and Schools and Education Donation are now open.
Applications open Tuesday 1 September 2026 at 9am and close Wednesday 30 September 2026 at 11.59pm.
The Community Wellbeing Grant supports projects that improve the health, safety and inclusion of Eurobodalla residents. This may include one-off workshops or activities, youth development initiatives, volunteer training or recognition, accessibility supports, community safety projects, and environmental or sustainability activities.
The Community Events Grant supports local events that bring people together to create a stronger community. Funding can help cover costs such as equipment hire, marketing, insurance, permits, entertainment, accessibility support, waste management and safety services.
Both grant streams offer up to $2,000 per application.
A total of $30,000 is available for Community Wellbeing Grants and $20,000 is available for Community Events Grants. Funded projects and events must take place between 1 January and 31 December 2027.
Eurobodalla Mayor Mathew Hatcher said the grants and donations were about backing bright ideas and care that locals put into the community.
"The best ideas often start with local people who see a need, spot an opportunity or want to bring their community together," Mayor Hatcher said.
"These grants and donations can help turn those ideas into something real, whether it's a workshop that builds confidence, support for volunteers, a youth activity, an environmental project or an event that gives people a reason to get out and connect.
"It doesn't always take a big budget to make a big difference. Sometimes a small boost is all a group needs to get started, reach more people or make an event more welcoming and accessible."
Mayor Hatcher encouraged applicants to read the guidelines and get their ideas in before the closing date.
"If you have been sitting on an idea for your town, club, group or community, this is your nudge to give it a go," Mayor Hatcher said.
Applications for each stream will be assessed by a panel and funding outcomes will be advised in December 2026.
