Eleven community groups in the Flynn electorate will share in $130,000 of funding from the Federal Government's Stronger Communities Programme to undertake a range of projects to build community engagement and participation.
Federal Member for Flynn, Colin Boyce said it has been a pleasure to work with community organisations through the project assessment process which involved working with an independent local panel.
"I have been able to see firsthand the diverse needs and innovative ideas within our communities, ensuring every dollar spent has maximum local impact," Mr Boyce said.
"Community projects such as disabled toilets and a shower building for the Mt Larcom and District Show Society will result in real benefits to the Flynn electorate.
"These grassroots initiatives will deliver practical improvements, ranging from facility upgrades and equipment purchases to community infrastructure enhancements that significantly benefit our local residents.
"Local community groups are the heart and soul of our regional communities. Their dedication and tireless efforts improve our social fabric, enhance our local amenities, foster community spirit, and I thank them for their efforts.
