Volunteers across Mitchell came together on Sunday 1 March for Clean Up Australia Day, with 18 registered events held across the Shire.
From Broadford and Wandong to Kilmore, Seymour, Wallan and Beveridge, local schools, community groups and residents rolled up their sleeves to collect rubbish.
Along Sydney Road, more than 20 volunteers collected bags of rubbish, with before and after photos showing the clear impact of their efforts in just a few hours.
