Community satisfaction survey starting soon

Residents may soon receive a phone call inviting them to participate in Horsham Rural City Council's annual Community Satisfaction Survey.

Private Company JWS Research will conduct the questionnaire on Council's behalf.

The survey is compulsory for all Victorian Councils, and it is based on the responses received by phone interviews with 400 local residents.

"Providing answers to the questions from JWS Research will help Council to improve service delivery to residents," Mayor Robyn Gulline said.

"We understand that people are busy and don't always want to answer questions from survey companies, but if people can make the time to respond then this information helps us do a better job," she said.

The survey questions have been designed to assess the performance of Council across all of its services to find ways to provide improvement.

JWS Research will call residents during February and early March to speak to them. These calls may be made out of business hours and over weekends.

Residents can be assured that their details and individual responses are confidential. Only the overall results are shared with Council.

Full results will be presented to Council and made public later this year.
