We know our Borough is made up of inspiring individuals, community groups and organisations that make outstanding contributions to our community every year – and it's only right that these contributions be acknowledged and celebrated.
That's why each year, we hold the Community Service Awards during National Volunteer Week to recognise and honour those who have done incredible things for the Borough. We present up to two Citizen of the Year awards and a Community Group of the Year award to recognize community excellence.
Nominations are currently open and anyone who lives, works or volunteers in the Borough of Queenscliffe can be nominated by any member of the community. For group awards, self-nominations are welcome. Nominations close on Monday, 23 February 2026.
Our reference group panel will assess the nominations against set criteria and make a recommendation to Council on who should be awarded each title.
