The AMA has raised its concerns about the Department of Health's decision that especially hits practices affected by long lockdowns.
Members have raised concerns with the AMA about the decision by the Department of Health to exclude telehealth services from the SWPE count when calculating PIP payments.
The AMA has raised its concern about this decision with both the Department of Health and the Health Minister's offices, recognising the decision has hit practices in areas subject to long lockdowns much harder than other parts of the country.
The Department has reassured the AMA that it is working on a proposal for Government consideration to specifically address this problem and ensure practices are not worse off.
