A man has been arrested after allegedly stealing items from a building site at Port Noarlunga South.
Police were called to a property on Morningstar Avenue at about 5am on Sunday 17 April after reports that a man was trespassing.
On arrival, officers located the suspect on nearby Jared Road. He was searched and allegedly found in possession of a water meter, copper piping and breaking tools.
A further search of the area located the suspect's Subaru wagon parked nearby with unassigned number plates. A search of the vehicle uncovered additional copper piping, believed to be stolen.
The 44-year-old man from Port Noarlunga was arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises, carrying an article of disguise, unlawful possession and possessing breaking tools. He was granted bail to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 4 June.
The man's Subaru was seized for further examination.
