Contemporary lens on Indigenous audiovisual history

The Government will provide $70,000 to the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) to commission an Indigenous filmmaker to work with their curators and technical experts to create this exciting new work.

Re/Vision will present the NFSA's collection and Australian history in a new and innovative way.

The successful filmmaker will also receive international exposure with the work to be showcased as part of the upcoming UK/Australia Season.

The Season is a program of events and a unique cultural exchange between UK and Australian artists and arts organisations, which this year asks the question: 'Who are we now?'The film will seek to answer this, while increasing cultural understanding.

The film will then join the NFSA's collection for all Australians to enjoy now and into the future.
