Today I announce portfolio changes following Minister Natalie Hutchins' decision not to seek re-election at the 2026 state election.
Minister Hutchins has served Victorians for more than a decade. She has put equality at the heart of her work. She has been a fierce advocate for women, a powerful voice for Aboriginal Victorians, and a champion for diverse and growing communities. Her contribution to our state will leave a lasting legacy.
Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services Mary-Anne Thomas will continue the important work as Minister for Women.
Following the historic signing of Victoria's First Treaty - Ros Spence will serve as Minister for Treaty and First Peoples and continue to lead the Government's work fighting for a fairer future for Aboriginal Victorians.
Minister for Mental Health, Ageing and Multicultural Affairs Ingrid Stitt will take on the portfolio for the Prevention of Family Violence.
Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs and Minister for Finance Danny Pearson will assume responsibility as Minister for Government Services.
The Ministers will be sworn in at Government House on Thursday, 18 December.
These changes reflect the values that guide this government - to keep fighting every day to build a fairer Victoria and a stronger future for working people and families.
