Council regrets to announce that Cooma and Bombala public pools will not be reopening from next week as previously advised, due to ongoing and additional unexpected delays affecting both projects.
Council staff met with the project contractor earlier today, Friday 23 January 2026, where further unexpected delays were confirmed. These included recent wet weather, parts, contractual delays and issues, and construction delays.
We apologise for the continued delays. Entry to Adaminaby Pool and Berridale Pool remains free-of-charge until all pools in the region have reopened.
Council understands that this further delay is disappointing and significantly inconveniences our residents across the region.
Revised reopening dates will be confirmed when possible.
Our projects team continue to work closely with the contractor to ensure these upgrade works are completed and both facilities reopened as soon as possible.
