Police arrested a woman following a burglary in Sunbury this morning.
Officers were called to reports of a woman breaking into an abandoned property on Horne Street about 1.30am.
Police arrived within minutes and entered the property, locating a 49-year-old woman allegedly hiding in the roof.
A toolbox and multiple piles of copper were allegedly located and seized in the hallway.
The Port Melbourne woman was arrested and charged with burglary, going equipped to steal, trespass and possess controlled weapon.
She was bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court on 4 January 2027.
