Two people were arrested for allegedly trying to steal copper from a construction site at a southern suburbs school overnight.
Police were called after an alarm at a construction site at the school on Glynville Drive, Hackham West activated about 3.15am on Saturday 17 January and two people were captured on CCTV on the site.
Patrols attended, cordoned off the area and called in Police Dog Duke, who located two suspects within the building site.
A car allegedly belonging to the men was located nearby and contained unstripped copper, piping and breaking implements.
No damage to the school or building site was found and investigations are continuing into where the copper has been taken from.
The 27-year-old Morphett Vale man and 47-year-old Seaford Meadows man were arrested and charged with unlawfully on premises, possess article to commit an offence and unlawful possession.
They were bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on 26 March.
Investigations are continuing.
