Cops nab speedster in Delacombe

A 45-year-old Newington man had his car impounded after he was caught speeding in Delacombe yesterday.

State Highway Patrol officers clocked a Nissan Skyline travelling at 108km/h in a 60km zone on Sutton Street about 12.10pm.

The car was immediately impounded for 30 days.

The man is expected to be charged on summons with speed dangerous and other related offences.

State Highway Patrol is currently in the Ballarat and Moorabool area as part of Operation Amadeus.

Operation Amadeus is an operation focussing on driver behaviour in rural areas across Victoria.
