The City of Burnside will host their annual Enviro Expo on Friday 2 May 2026 at the Civic Centre.

With a range of free activities, events and stalls - including plenty for children - the Expo will showcase and celebrate the strong commitment to environment and sustainability in the community. Headlined by Costa Georgiadis who will present 3 talks throughout the day. The City of Burnside will also be organising a Sustainable Fashion Market in the historic Burnside Ballroom. Hosted all day from 10 am - 3 pm the market will blend both beauty and sustainability.

Visitors from across Adelaide are welcome to attend this free event to discover how easy it is to live sustainably and environmentally consciously one small change at a time.

City of Burnside CEO Julia Grant said it is another important step in the city's strategic goals to decrease environmental impact.

'We continue to seek pathways for Council to reduce environmental impact and to protect the stunning natural surroundings of Burnside and the wider areas', Ms Grant said.

'The Enviro Expo is a way to encourage the community to get involved in sustainable living through education', Ms Grant said.

City of Burnside Mayor Anne Monceaux said it is the City's hope that the Expo will assist residents in incorporating sustainable initiatives into their daily lives.

'A range of local businesses will be there to provide advice on sustainability practices, including major sponsor Tindo, how to recycle waste and inspire the next generation of the importance of caring for nature and our environment', Mayor Monceaux said.

'I'm looking forward to meeting Costa, celebrating the Environment Awards, the Sustainable Fashion Market and seeing the children enjoy learning about native animals, and nature. There will be something for everyone', Mayor Monceaux said.
