A 24-year-old male has been arrested in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred yesterday in Fannie Bay, Darwin.
Around 5pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that two people had been injured following a fight in a car park in Fannie Bay.
It is alleged two males aged 24 and 27 had engaged in fighting nearby that had continued into the car park of a club on Conacher Street. It is alleged the 24-year-old stabbed the 27-year-old with a broken bottle, causing lacerations to his upper body and arms. A third male, aged 30, attempted to intervene and suffered a minor injury to his finger.
Multiple police units attended and the 27-year-old was conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries by St John Ambulance. The 30-year-old was assessed at the scene.
The 24-year-old was arrested and remains in police custody while investigations are ongoing.
