Be part of the Australian cotton industry's extension program, CottonInfo, and use your scientific communications expertise to connect cotton growers with research.

CottonInfo is the Australian cotton industry's extension program: designed to deliver research and development (R&D) outcomes to cotton growers and consultants. CottonInfo is a partnership between three cotton industry organisations: CRDC, Cotton Australia, and Cotton Seed Distributors.

CottonInfo's role is to connect growers and consultants with the latest R&D outcomes to help achieve best practice. The team comprises Regional Extension Officers, Technical Leads and myBMP experts, who work across a broad portfolio, covering biosecurity, climate, crop nutrition, disease management, energy use efficiency, fibre quality, insect and mite management, natural resource management, pesticide input efficiency, soil health, stewardship, water management and weed control.

The Communications Lead will assist CottonInfo to improve the rate and reach of adaption and adoption of R&D, and continue to build CottonInfo's reputation as a trusted information source.

If you're a whiz at transforming technical information into user-friendly material across a range of communications channels, have experience in science communications and a passion for agriculture, then we'd love to hear from you!

The Communications Lead will report to the CottonInfo Program Manager and the CottonInfo Management Committee. The position will be based in Toowoomba, or can be conducted remotely (work from home). Some travel will be required, including to Toowoomba and Narrabri.
