Melton City Council has approved its Council and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029, Financial Plan 2025-2035, and Asset Plan 2025-2035.
The Council and Wellbeing Plan sets out Council's vision, priorities, and strategic direction over the next four years and was informed by a 50-member deliberative community panel representing a broad cross-section of the community, and the final draft was provided for community feedback.
The Plan includes a new vision: 'A welcoming and liveable City accessible to all', which is supported by three strategic themes:
- A Healthy and Inclusive Community
- A Thriving and Well-Designed City
- A Progressive and Trusted Council
The Council and Wellbeing Plan will be implemented through annual action plans and aligned with the annual budget planning process to ensure it continues to reflect the evolving needs of the community.
The Financial Plan 2025–35 outlines how Council will utilise available funds and generate additional revenue opportunities to deliver Council services, programs, and infrastructure over the next 10 years, while ensuring financial sustainability over the long term.
The Asset Plan 2025–35 sets out Council's long-term strategy for managing more than 250,000 built assets—including infrastructure, community facilities, and open spaces—and will ensure these assets are maintained and improved in a way that supports community needs now and into the future.
