Hi all, I'm Councillor James Campbell, bringing you our weekly Council Connect.
First up, we have some progress on the Dungog Housing & Infrastructure Master Plan. Council is preparing to bring the Dungog Housing and Infrastructure Master Plan to public exhibition, and we want your feedback.
We'll be hosting a series of community information sessions across the shire, where residents can learn more, ask questions, and share their thoughts.
Please note: The decision to proceed with the public exhibition and community information sessions is subject to Council endorsement of the Plan at its meeting on Wednesday, 19 November. If Council endorses the exhibition, the draft strategies will be released for public comment shortly thereafter, and the information sessions will proceed as planned.

Next up, the Clarence Town Swim In & Rally will be celebrating 10 years. Clarence Town is set to come alive this weekend for the 10th anniversary of the Clarence Town Swim In & Military Rally at the Williams River Holiday Park. This year's theme is "Year of the Amphibian" — a nod to the event's long-standing connection with military vehicles, air displays, and the Clarence Town community.
The event runs from Thursday 30 October to Saturday 1 November, so get out there to Clarence Town this weekend and support our thriving community. The event includes military and emergency vehicle displays, markets, music, food, and family fun.
It's a great day out and an important way to recognise our veterans.
And finally National Recycling Week is coming up and Council is hosting a Recycling and FOGO Community Information Session.
National Recycling Week is 10-16 November and Council is celebrating with a free community event that's all about recycling right and wasting less.
Council's Waste Management Team and community sustainability advocate, Michelle Dado-Millynn from Boomerang Bags, and Dungog Wholefood Co-Op will be holding an interactive session at the Dungog James Theatre.
